Invitations & Outreach
Connecting with the right attendees can make or break your event. Sero gives you powerful tools to reach web3 professionals effectively, whether they’re already on the platform or not.
Understanding Invitation Types and Limits
Sero offers two ways to invite people, each with distinct advantages:
- Platform Invitations: Connect directly with existing Sero members (50 per event)
- Email Invitations: Reach contacts who aren’t yet on the platform (2,500 per event)
Email invitations sent to existing Sero members don’t count toward your invitation limit.
The Credit Refund System
Both invitation types use a refund system that rewards engagement:
- For every person who responds (yes, no, or maybe), you receive one invitation credit back
- Example: If you start with 50 invitations, send 10 invitations, and 5 people respond, you’ll have 45 credits remaining → (50 - 10 + 5 = 45)
- This allows you to extend your reach when your invitations generate responses
- Only pending invitations count against your limit; once someone responds, they move to the guests table
Pro tip: Start by inviting people most likely to respond to maximize your effective invitation capacity.
Sending Platform Invitations
Sero’s platform connects you directly with thousands of active web3 professionals—from founders and executives to investors and builders. With platform invitations, you can reach this high-quality audience immediately, no prior relationship required.
Access the Invitation Interface
- Navigate to the “Invitations” tab on your event’s manage page
- Scroll down to the Community table, which shows available Sero members
- Use search and filters to find relevant potential attendees
Find the Right Attendees
Sero offers powerful filters to help you find the best potential attendees:
My Network
- Shows Sero members connected to your social graph
- Includes connections from platforms you’ve linked to your profile
- To expand this network, add more social accounts in your profile settings
- Each organizer sees their own unique network, increasing your collective reach
Attended My Events
- Shows people who have attended your previous events on Sero
- Helps you identify your most engaged community members
- Particularly effective for recurring or themed events
Search Strategies
- Search by company name to find multiple team members
- Search by role (e.g., “investor” or “developer”) to find relevant professionals
- Try variations of terms: “general partner” vs “GP,” “investor” vs “VC”
- Be specific in your searches for better results

For Individual Invitations:

Sending Email Invitations
For contacts who aren’t on Sero yet, email invitations provide a direct path to your event.
Prepare Email Invitations
- From the “Invitations” tab, click “Invite” to open the invitation dialog
- Optionally customize the sender name (your name is used by default)
- Optionally add a custom note explaining the value of attending
- Set the auto-approval toggle:
- On: Attendees are automatically approved when they RSVP
- Off: Attendees go to “Pending” status and require manual approval
Send Individual or Bulk Invitations
For Individual Emails:
- Enter email addresses directly in the text field
- Separate multiple addresses with commas or line breaks
For Bulk Import via CSV:
- Prepare a CSV file with required fields:
- Name
- Company
- Role
- Download the template CSV from the invitation interface if needed
- Upload your file (either drag and drop or browse to select)
- Review and send the invitations
When non-members receive your invitation, they’ll complete a quick sign-up process (15-30 seconds) before they can RSVP.
Maximize Your Invitation Strategy
Multiply Your Reach with Multiple Organizers
Each organizer accesses their own unique social network, multiplying your effective reach:
- Each organizer sees different potential attendees when filtering by “My Network”
- This expands your collective reach across various communities
- Assign each organizer to invite people from their own network

Optimize for Response Rates
The invitation system rewards engagement—focus on quality over quantity:
- Start with your warmest leads: Invite people most likely to respond first to maximize credit refunds
- Monitor response patterns: Track which groups respond best and adjust targeting
- Preserve credits strategically: Use external channels (Telegram, email) for close contacts you’d reach anyway
Craft Compelling Invitations
Improve response rates with these tactics:
- Time it right: Send invitations 2-3 weeks before your event
- Highlight value: Mention notable speakers, exclusive content, or networking opportunities
- Keep descriptions tight: Your event description appears in every invitation
- Match the audience: Use general language for bulk sends; personalize for high-value attendees
